Approach Instructions
To safely enter Newport, please use the following navigation guidance:
Stay well out beyond the Neptune Statue as you approach the entrance. (from 50 point)
Turn to port around the orange dredging marker.
After the turn, continue a course towards the grey house
Continue on this line until you can see the red marker on the back wall of the inner basin.
Make a second port turn to align with that red marker, keeping 4 to 6 feet off the groin on your starboard side.
Continue past the groin, then aim for the corner of the east wall.
Once through the entrance, head toward mid-channel.
This route gives you 6+ feet of depth all the way in, and 10+ feet once inside the basin between the walls.
